Any chance of zooming in on the Apollo flag?

    The flat earthers stole it...

There was a thread on the photo site I lurk on that in turn referenced a NASA article.. In short there is no lens made that can resolve to 1m resolution at 250,000 miles... Even if there was no atmosphere in between

Yes, esteemed Science officer, you're right, of course. As TRN homework I calculated Hubble's resolution on the moon. Asking Google as you suggest, squidoo? It's resolution is 0.085 arcsec which is a gap of 181 yds 250,000 miles away. Then Wiki taught me it's limited by aperture diameter and the wavelength of light, so I thought the Chandra X-ray telescope, but decided to forget it since the friggin' flag's probably invisible to X-ray. The lunar orbiting satellites used in NASA's LCROSS got some nice pix of the Soviet nuclear powered lunar rover.

And yes Californians love (well, loved) their governator. Actors as leading politicians, is it only in America? I have trouble imagining Jim Carrey as Canada's PM. Of course, he was God for a day.
