    Default The National Bird: Guardabarranco

This beautiful bird lives with his mate close to my house. I see the pair most days, but it is so hard to get a decent photo between the lighting and the interference by branches and leaves, as well as having my five pound appendage with me at the right moment.

Stunning photography Kelly Ann, excellent work! Of the 7 beauties you've just served us, my other two favorites are 'Chillin' and 'Dos chavalos' for their dazzling color palettes and composition, and I admit, Chillin's subject matter just plain makes me feel comfortable looking at it. Thanks.

Thank you for the compliments. Your favorites will one day grace the shelves of El Gato Negro, if I can ever get off my butt and get to the prints shop in Managua.

    Kelly,
Nice photo, I already miss having so many birds right outside my house. Now I have to go to a park
