The markets of Managua are saturated with vendors. It is estimated that the Oriental has 17,000 Vendors and Mayoreo and Huembes are both about the same at 1,300 Vendors a piece.

There has been 1 idea to expand the markets buildings of 2 stories for the past 2 years. However something needs to be done soon. Much of the Oriental is inaccesible to fire Fighters and hundreds could be killed if a serious fire broke out.

The Mayor of Managua is looking for ways to clean this all up.

And it should be to but the problem is nobody likes change, and they (the merchants) will be difficult, to say the least....
