Rosario Murillo's poetry webpage http://www.conamornicaragua.org.ni/

I think it should be voted worst webpage of the year.

Heres 1 poem and its in English

By Roasrio Murillo

"WOMAN IN A WHITE DRESS"

"There´s bunch of guayabas holding on
the tree keeps moving, nothing much the
air as heavy as wings of pidgeons that gaze
over the clouds, watching
time expand and grow as life
beneath the shades of blue
and white, and heavy green"

"Days that gloom, days that burn
hearts pay the price of solitude"

"The carpintero
climbing tucking smucking, hour after
hour, the clouds still hanging the guayabas
fresh and plump ripening in the branch
a quiet storm, a calm (sort of) "

"Guayabas, fresh guayabas
holding on, just holding on
seeds of future, ripening now
so perfect in their splendid form"

"The carpintero knocks, as if to say
open your doors, your hearts, your eyes
arise all ye, the wise, the faithful,
arise and lift
the petals
of your heart !"

Worst webpage, almost certainly. No, not for the FSLN-ness, it's just a "primitivist" webpage.

I guess "woodpecker" doesn't flow as well as "carpintero".

I think she needs to meet with Mr. Gillette before writing another poem... Maybe Dr. Phil as well.
