This brings up something I've been trying to figure out for the past couple months. The Google Earth shots of Granada are terrible. You can barely tell there's a town there. I have a lot of coals in the fire that really need a high resolution map to interface with GPS for the entire area from the Isletas down to Mombacho and west to Catarina (Google Earth is okay once you get to Masaya).

I was thinking of overlaying aerial photographs. Apparently there's some function in Google Earth to do this. Does anyone know how? Could I do it with a rented Cessna and a decent camera, or do you have to have some high falootin' gyro-stabilized-GPS-integrated system?
