If you have fowl on your homestead, plucking will someday be an issue. We raise Muscovy ducks, for sale and for our own use. It has always been Roger's job to butcher and clean the birds before I package or start playin' in the kitchen. NOW, this chore of his has become much, much easier!
Not too long ago, we got a duck plucker from the US, one from http://www.pluckwitheasypluck.com. We purchased some plastic barrels in Masaya, mounted the plucker on the barrels to make an interesting-looking machine, and we were amazed that a job that would normally take 30 minutes was now taking about 2 minutes!
For now, I've been holding the drill while Roger plucks the duck. We'll put a shelf in soon, a suggestion by the inventor Rod, and then I'll get more pix, maybe even a video to show y'all the machine in action!![]()
