Thread: Haute Cusine

    Default Haute Cusine

For the past two weeks I have had the privilege of assisting and hosting one of the two white guys from Big Corn Island.

Now, I like to cook, as does my son...we love trying new recipes and thanks to the Internet and all the fresh alternatives in NicaLand...we end up with very interesting dishes..

    And then....our guest....

    Yes, we revised our menu
Yes, many fish, shrimp, chicken, beef and a few pork dishes..
Yes, we trained ...well, training the cooks, sorry NicaLand Chefs

    And his favorite...is when...when..
We ordered PIZZA from a local joint...in Leon...had to do it twice..

Shipped him back to the island

    The fish are toast.

I have never censored anyone on this site. Only John can do that.

Please explain what "white man" from Corn island came to Leon and did exactly what?

Are there secret people that can not be divulged?

Why make a post so difficult to understand?

Oh...I know who you are talking about now...the other white guy.

Hell...he is so old that after 2 Tona's he wouldn't know pizza from p**sy.

    BTW he is my age.

I think he's saying they had dolphin meat as a pizza topping . Hopefully it was tuna-free dolphin.

    I'll step up.

A white guy from BCI visited a guy in Leon and the guy in Leon cooked him al sorts of tasty dishes but the BCI guy turned his nose up at the food because all he wanted wanted was plain old pizza cuz you can't get it on BCI; so the Leon guy kicked the BCI guy's ass out of the house.

    Veinte pesos.

Maybe, just maybe it was your cooking?

Maybe you should PM Melissa for some recopies or help?

Or maybe you just do not get humor?

Might have more to do with the guest's obsession with Pizza or maybe because on our English speaking TV channels here every commercial seems to be Pizza Hut, Papa John's, or Dominos, it is overwhelming to see such nice food on such a regular basis.

All this pizza talk got me worked up, made one for dinner last night, 4 kinds of chesse (quesillo, queso fresca, parmesan, and of course mozzarella. Tomatoes, chilitoma, onions, jalapeno, fresh basil (called barsely here). Guess the Pizza Hut ads had me brainwashed, wanted a pan style pizza, so I made the pizza and then let it rise for over an hour before cooking it, once cooked it was nearly an inch thick and light as air, it was a nice thing.

When I was little things like pizza were for special occasions. Now pizza is everywhere and the competition has driven the price down. You can have a pizza any time and quite cheaply. I guess that could be said about a lot of things. Rarely see a really good one though. Just food.

Same as you were talking about the other day with other fast foods. A family can have a pizza delivered and on the table quicker (and cheaper) than a trip to the grocery store.
